Dozen Exercises to Improve your Happiness Quotient:
Feel Grateful – If you have a roof over your head, clothes to wear, food to eat and a computer to read this, you are better off than 90% of people on this planet. Cheer-up. Make a list of all the blessings and FEEL GRATEFUL for it.
Love yourself- Look at yourself in the eye in front of the mirror. Hug yourself and say I LOVE YOU.
Praise yourself- Find a reason, an act, an accomplishment, a behavior, a gesture of yours that you are proud of and praise yourself for one minute everyday.
Give a compliment - Praise somebody about his/her dress, smile, eyes anything
Make somebody feel special- Give an unexpected gift, a card, a bunch of flowers to your colleague, boss, employee, teacher, parents, kids.
Surprise a Stranger- Give your seat to an elderly person, open a door for a lady, let the person behind you come-up in the queue.
Serve- Perform self-less service in a church a community, teach somebody.
Donate-Donate for a cause or to the source of inspiration.
Outing : Go for a family outing.
Play: Play a family game Monopoly, Scrabble, Ludo, Chess
Photo: Take a family picture with your parents and kids.
Pray: The family that prays together stays together.
